Ash residue

The ash residue content is determined by completely incinerating the plastic. The inorganic substances (such as glass fibres, sand, chalk, minerals, etc.) will remain at this temperature. The percentage of the remaining portion is referred to as the ash residue content. The ash residue can potentially be used for composition determination or microscopic examination.
