VACATURE: Project Manager Circular Polymers

You are leading innovation towards sustainable, future proof and circular polymers. You translate a clear vision into tangible results for companies.

Key Responsibilities

You are leading and realizing projects which aim to innovate polymer applications. You will set up new projects, business cases, value chain projects and training activities with key partners. You are in regular contact with companies, organizations and initiatives in and outside the polymer technology sector. You translate theoretical and practical knowledge about one of our core themes like high-end recycling, biobased, biodegradable, product design and closing the value chain into activities. And you support sharpening the saw for project management and increasing the learning ability of our organization.

About us

Polymer Science Park (PSP) is an internationally leading innovation centre for applied polymer technology. PSP is a partner for companies to innovate polymer products and move towards sustainable and circular products. Our services include testing facilities, R&D research, networking events, business cases, and talent development. PSP is an innovative working environment with enthusiastic and highly skilled colleagues. Our team comprises around 15 staff members, and our office is in Zwolle, the Netherlands.

Qualifications

Your drive is to catalyze sustainable change. You are an initiator, result-driven, and you perform better when under pressure. You are an experienced project leader who can develop project proposals, business cases and manage accounts. In addition, you have strong planning, organizing and prioritizing skills when working on several assignments simultaneously. You are a strong communicator, can work independently, and have excellent English and Dutch communication skills (or is willing to learn the Dutch language).

You hold a Bachelor, MSc or PhD degree in material science, chemistry, chemical technology, engineering, polymer physics, industrial design, environmental science or equivalent. You have at least five years of working experience in applied polymers and know about recycling, biobased, biodegradable, product design or (circular) value chain design.
