Tensile test

Using the Instron tensile testing machine 68TM-50kN, tensile tests (also known as pull tests) can be carried out. The tensile test produces a stress-strain diagram (shown below). From this stress-strain diagram, many important materials and/or product properties are determined, such as stiffness, tensile strength, elasticity, and elongation. This data can be used to determine whether the material meets specifications and for which application it can be used.
